FAQs
Does the No More Nitz treatment guarantee my child will not get Head Lice again?
We guarantee that we 100% remove all of the head lice and eggs in the One Treatment. What we can’t guarantee is that you won’t be re-infected; either from your own living environment and other family members who haven’t been treated; or being in contact with a person who still has head lice present.
Can Head Lice live on animals?
Head Lice thrives on the warmth and moisture of the human scalp which provides the perfect environment as they are entirely dependent on human hosts to survive. Without a human host lice can only live off the head for 48 hours.
Is it necessary to clean my home?
Head lice can live off the head and on surfaces especially in the immediate home environment for 48 hours. Therefore you need to ensure you thoroughly clean your home environment or you could possibly contract head lice again.
How do i prevent my child from getting Head Lice?
Keep your child’s hair up preferably in a bun or plait as loose hair can increase the chances of it coming into contact with another persons hair and transmitting head lice. You can’t isolate a child from school, so you need to be diligent in search for signs of head lice on a daily basis.
Does Head Lice prefer clean or dirty hair?
Head lice can occur on both clean and dirty hair, so should not be viewed as a reflection on personal hygiene, home environment, or social status as they do not discriminate. It is contracted through personal contact and any personal items such as hats, shared brushes and personal items.
Should I treat everyone in my family?
It is important to check each family member in the household and ensure they are 100% Head Lice Free and those with head lice are treated.
